About volunteering
Volunteering at Positively Women continues to be an exchange between volunteers and the organisation. It is a service specifically for women living with HIV, to build skills, confidence, and move forward, whether into employment, further education or other areas of volunteering. It is also a chance to give something back and volunteering strengthens the voice of women living with HIV and is an essential part of our specialist support.
Positively Women offers a range of opportunities for personal development through training and volunteering within the organisation. Volunteering helps to meet the needs of beneficiaries and provides women with the opportunity to gain work experience and confidence.
"I did not think I could do it but you women said I could! Maybe I did have something to offer. I finally understood what the organisation was all about - empowering and confidence building. Even I, as a 50 year old woman with AIDS, might be employable, useful to the community"
