Meet the team

Positively Women’s support team aim to help women living with HIV overcome the barriers and to live healthier lives. All direct support is carried out by women who are themselves living with HIV and therefore have personal experience of the social and health implications of living with the virus. As well as offering emotional and practical assistance, support provided by women living with HIV is vital as it allows fears and concerns to be discussed openly, and demonstrates it is possible to move forward following an HIV diagnosis.

The teams:
  • Case Work Team
  • Children and Family Team
  • Community Involvement Team
  • Skills and Development Team
Open mornings

If you want to come to PW find out more about the organisation and meet the teams then you can book to attend an open morning. We hold monthly sessions on a Wednesday morning from 11am-12.30pm.

Any one can come along, particularly if you are working in a similar field or have a particular interest in HIV and/or women’s issues. The open morning consists of a presentation about the organisation, who we are and what we do, and a tour of our facilities. We provide all attendees with literature about the organisation and there is a question and answer session at the end of the programme.

Dates for 2008 are as follows:
  • 4 November
  • 3 December
If you are interested in attending you can contact email Anjie Mailey, Administrator call on 020 7713 0444 to book a place.
