Positively Women currently has over 1000 active beneficiaries. Beneficiaries included in this table are only women living with HIV. PW also provided services for children, whether infected or affected by HIV. There are an estimated 9000 women living with HIV in the UK.

For 2006/07, we compared the number of our beneficiaries with data supplied by the Health Protection Agency. The following breakdown shows that Positively Women are in contact with many of the women living with HIV around London, although Positively Women supports women from all over the UK.

The table includes the total number of women per borough as well as the percentage of the totals estimated by the Public Health Laboratory.

Positively Women also provides support to women living with HIV around the country. We have a National Project working with organisations around the UK and providing support to other women's groups.
